Electrical Engineering New Graduate – Long Island, NY

About the role

IMEG is seeking a recent Electrical Engineering graduate to join its Long Island office. This full‑time, hybrid position provides hands‑on experience in the design, analysis, and oversight of electrical systems for government, municipal, and science‑technology projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing and analyzing electrical systems using engineering software and tools, ensuring compliance with codes and IMEG standards.
• Interact with clients to gather requirements, communicate technical information, and maintain professional relationships.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and documentation of design decisions and client instructions.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, energy‑efficient solutions.
• Participate in IMEG quality‑control processes and stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Engineering in Training (EIT) certification or equivalent.
• Strong analytical abilities and a solid understanding of electrical design concepts.
• Commitment to safety and ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electrical design techniques, tools, and concepts.
• Proficiency with engineering software for design and calculations.
