About the role

Ochsner Health Baton Rouge Department of Behavioral Health is offering a full-time or part-time position for a board-certified or board-eligible child and adolescent psychiatrist. The role complements the department's commitment to children's healthcare and its expansion of pediatric services, working alongside psychologists, advanced practice professionals and licensed clinical social workers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations and periodic reviews of patients
• Provide treatment and medication management
• Supervise progress toward individual goals
• No inpatient call or hospital consults required

Required profile

• Board-certified or board-eligible child and adolescent psychiatrist
