Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

About the role

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is looking for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to work alongside anesthesiologists in a multidisciplinary healthcare system. The goal is to deliver high-quality, evidence-based anesthesia and pain care at all acuity levels for all patients. The clinic treats children, adolescents and adults across the Houston area, with procedures including general, orthopedic, endoscopy, plastics/reconstructive, ophthalmology, urology, gynecology, ENT, interventional radiology and sedation for pain procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to determine an accurate anesthetic plan
• Work under the direction of the physician anesthesiologist
• Determine and administer the appropriate dosage of anesthesia during procedures
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, technicians and other health care professionals
• Complete records of the type and amount of anesthesia, patient condition, response and medical history
• Assess patient recovery and transfer to another room after surgery
• Collaborate with referring physicians and other professionals to provide optimal care

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
• Valid state RN license meeting state education requirements
• State APRN recognition obtained within six months of hire
• AANA certification as a CRNA
• 2+ years of anesthesia care in an inpatient setting
• Driver's license and access to reliable transportation

Required skills

• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• PALS certification
• BLS certification

What we offer

• Compensation generally ranging from $190,000 to $287,500, including base pay and bonus
