Chief, Sports Medicine

About the role

The Chief, Sports Medicine will lead the sports medicine division across the Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute and Jefferson Orthopedics, shaping clinical excellence and academic engagement within a nationally recognized integrated practice.

Key responsibilities

• Build and standardize best practices for sports medicine across a geographically‑based network.
• Serve as Division Chief, providing executive leadership for both Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute and Jefferson Orthopedics.
• Engage with orthopedic residency programs and support development of a Sports Medicine Fellowship.
• Collaborate with academic partners at Sidney Kimmel Medical College for teaching and research.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in Sports Medicine.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise and a passion for patient care, safety, and outcomes.
• Strong academic aspirations; experience in teaching or research is preferred.
• Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team and drive program growth.
