Checker/Loader – Warehouse Operations

About the role

Flowers Foods is seeking a Checker/Loader to support its shipping operations. The role involves pulling orders, counting, loading and unloading products on trailers while ensuring accuracy and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Pull orders, count, load and unload product on incoming and outgoing trailers according to the shipping schedule.
• Record product received from production or other plants accurately.
• Load and unload to the appropriate distribution area to meet shipping schedules.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and comply with all company policies, safety rules and food‑handling requirements.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving wheeled equipment (up to 400 lb) over distances of up to 100 ft and lifting product containers (up to 20 lb).

Required profile

• No formal education required; must be able to read, comprehend and record job‑related information.
• At least six months of shipping or related experience is preferred.
• Physically capable of the required lifting, bending, stooping and equipment handling.
• Must meet Food Defense Certification (FDC) and CDC food‑handling standards.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
