Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

About the role

Rebound Therapies is looking for a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join its growing team in the home health setting. Working under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA helps patients regain independence and improve their daily quality of life by implementing individualized treatment plans. The position suits someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients and seeing a direct impact on their progress.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in delivering high-quality therapy services to patients in the home setting
• Support patients through therapeutic activities and exercises that improve daily functioning and independence
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Educate patients and their families on care plans, exercises and strategies for daily living
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, treatments and outcomes
• Help ensure a safe and supportive environment during therapy sessions

Required profile

• Active Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license in the state of Michigan
• Previous COTA experience is preferred, especially in home health; new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to patient homes
