Certified Nursing Assistant – Part‑Time Day Shift

About the role

The Minnesota Veterans Home in Montevideo is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to provide compassionate, person‑centered care for residents in a long‑term nursing facility. This part‑time, day‑shift position offers at least 48 hours per two‑week pay period with the possibility of additional hours.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Ensure resident safety, maintain quality of care, and support residents to achieve their highest functional capabilities.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff in a long‑term care environment.

Required profile

• Registered as a Nursing Assistant with the Minnesota Department of Health Nursing Assistant Registry (or be registered by hire).
• At least 18 years of age and able to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and take clear notes.

Required skills

• Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and/or Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Experience providing ADLs and working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a long‑term care setting.
