Certified Nursing Assistant – Evening Shift

About the role

The Minnesota Veterans Home in Montevideo is seeking part‑time Certified Nursing Assistants to provide compassionate, person‑centered care on the evening shift. You will assist residents with daily activities, ensure safety, and support their highest functional capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Monitor resident safety and quality of care, reporting any concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to promote a respectful, caring environment.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Nursing Assistant with the Minnesota Department of Health or registration by hire date.
• At least 18 years of age and able to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and varied schedules as assigned.

Required skills

• CPR certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Hourly wage $21.59‑$28.94 plus $2.25 shift differential for hours worked after 6 pm.
