Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Night Shift, Part-Time

About the role

The Minnesota Veterans Home in Montevideo is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to admit more residents to its long-term nursing facility. The position is part-time, primarily evening shift (10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.), with at least 48 hours per 2-week pay period and possible extra hours depending on business needs. It is open to all qualified applicants.

Key responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents
• Assist with activities of daily living
• Ensure safety and quality of care
• Help residents reach their highest functional capabilities

Required profile

• Currently registered as a Nursing Assistant with the Minnesota Department of Health registry, or willing to complete the home's training course and register within four months of hire
• Or has completed an approved Minnesota Nursing Assistant course and test and registers within four months of hire
• Able to communicate effectively, follow instructions and take clear notes
• At least 18 years old
• Background check and tuberculosis screening required for finalists

Preferred qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant registration
• Certified nursing assistant experience and ADL experience
• Long-term care experience
• CPR and/or BLS certification
