Certified Medical Assistant Float PRN

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to float PRN days at its Arden, North Carolina facility (15 Skyland Inn Drive). The role provides coverage for OBGYN, Internal Medicine and Family Medicine clinics, travelling as needed to meet staffing needs and support clinic operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients and equipment for treatment, initiate testing and document results in the practice's system
• Perform clinical intake, including screenings, history taking, vital signs and medication reconciliation
• Provide whole care during office visits, including intake, test results, screenings, labs, medication administration and closing care gaps
• Assist with minor procedures and ensure accurate documentation
• Educate patients on tests, medications and diet
• Maintain OSHA compliance and office safety policies
• Monitor and manage inventory and medical equipment
• Keep patient and employee information confidential and support colleagues and visitors

Required profile

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, CMAC, RMA, AMT, NCMA, CCMA or NRCMA)
• Basic Life Support / CPR certification
• High school graduate or equivalent
• 1+ year of related work experience preferred
