Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant – Sign‑on Bonus & Loan Repayment

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAAs) to join the team at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. You will provide anesthesia care for a diverse case mix, including a high‑risk obstetrics department, while working in a collaborative environment with CRNAs and MDAs.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain comprehensive patient histories, perform relevant physical exam elements, and discuss the anesthetic plan with the supervising anesthesiologist.
• Administer anesthesia, monitor patient responses, and intervene with emergency measures when complications arise.
• Pre‑test and calibrate anesthesia delivery systems, and administer blood products and supportive fluids as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Current certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) proficiency.
• Operation and calibration of anesthesia delivery systems.
• Patient monitoring and emergency response during anesthesia.
• Administration of blood products and intravenous fluids.
