About the role

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants for part‑time positions (20‑32 hours/week) at Mercy Hospital in Canton, Ohio. The role involves administering anesthesia, monitoring patients, and collaborating with CRNAs and MD anesthesiologists across a wide range of surgical specialties.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain comprehensive patient histories, perform relevant physical exam elements, and discuss anesthetic plans with supervising anesthesiologists.
• Administer anesthesia, blood products, and supportive fluids, and respond to emergencies or complications.
• Pre‑test, calibrate, and operate anesthesia delivery systems.
• Document patient status, monitor reactions, and communicate any adverse conditions to the physician.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Current certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment, lift patients and equipment, and stand for extended periods.

Required skills
