CDL‑A City Truck Driver – Local Routes

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking CDL‑A City Pickup & Delivery drivers for its Chattanooga service center. Drivers will handle local freight deliveries and pickups, returning to the terminal each day, with multiple stops and direct customer interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform city deliveries and pickups of freight, returning to the terminal daily.
• Operate scanning equipment and an electric pallet jack for lift‑gate deliveries.
• Interact with customers, ensuring accurate load handling and documentation.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A with at least 1 year of combined verifiable Class A experience within the past 3 years.
• Clean driving record (no serious violations, ≤3 moving violations in 3 years) and pass DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.
• Ability to bend, lift, and stoop safely; dependable and able to work various shifts Monday‑Friday.

Required skills

• CDL Class A operation.
• Electric pallet jack operation.
• Use of scanning equipment for freight handling.
