CDL-A Driver Linehaul – Home Daily

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking Class A Linehaul Drivers for its Birmingham, AL Service Center. Drivers will pull van trailers up to 53’ or double trailers between service centers and turn‑point locations, returning home each day.

Key responsibilities

• Operate 53‑foot van trailers or double trailers on linehaul routes.
• Maintain safe driving practices and comply with DOT regulations.
• Complete pre‑employment DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.

Required profile

• CDL Class A with at least 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience in the past 3 years.
• Good driving record (no serious violations, max 3 moving violations in 3 years).
• Age 23 (or 21 with FMCSA military transition specifications).
• Ability to pass physical, drug screen, and road test.

Required skills

• CDL Class A license.
• Experience with double/triple trailers, tanker, or haz‑mat endorsements (preferred).
• LTL freight handling experience.
