Case Processor – Insurance Reimbursement Team

About the role

The Case Processor/Legal Assistant supports health plan subrogation and third‑party liability recovery efforts by managing daily administration of insurance recovery cases, ensuring files are organized and case statuses are up‑to‑date.

Key responsibilities

• Manage administrative tasks for active health‑plan subrogation and insurance recovery cases.
• Answer inbound calls and emails regarding TPL claims, liens, coverage questions, and documentation requests.
• Communicate with plaintiff attorneys, insurance adjusters, claim representatives, and carriers.
• Send lien notices, confirm receipt, and follow up on missing materials.
• Prepare, organize, and route documentation for Team Leads and Attorneys.
• Monitor case status, flag coverage or timing concerns, and maintain complete case notes in recovery systems.
• Track incoming reimbursement payments and escalate delays as needed.

Required profile

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s preferred or equivalent industry experience (4+ years).
• Experience in insurance claims, health‑plan operations, subrogation, TPL, workers’ compensation, auto liability, or legal administration.
• Familiarity with carriers, TPAs, and liability insurers.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle high‑volume claim files.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with external stakeholders.

• Proficiency in case management and recovery systems (as used by the team).
• Detail‑oriented documentation and communication logging.
