Cardiac Sonographer – Pediatric/Fetal

About the role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Pediatric/Fetal Cardiac Sonographer to join its Peds Cardiology department. The role involves performing high‑quality echocardiograms across outpatient, inpatient, and satellite clinics, supporting the expanding Fetal Medicine Program.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pediatric and fetal echocardiograms following IAC protocols and generate accurate reports.
• Teach sonography theory, instrumentation, and interpretation to fellows, sonographers, and visitors.
• Assist physicians and fellows with research data entry and project support.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and provide excellent patient care.
• Participate in lab meetings, quality‑assurance activities, and departmental initiatives.
• Evaluate new ultrasound software and equipment with vendors, providing feedback and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Graduate of an 18‑month cardiac ultrasound program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Within two years of hire, obtain RDCS‑PE or RCCS certification.
• Knowledge of m‑mode, 2D, Doppler, cardiac hemodynamics, and complex cardiac anatomy.
• Two years of full‑time pediatric or adult echo experience; fetal echo or OB ultrasound experience preferred.
