Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse – Night Shift

About the role

The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital is a fast‑paced 14‑bed unit providing 24/7 monitoring for patients with serious heart conditions. This night‑shift RN role delivers direct, high‑quality care and education to patients and families.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders, including medication administration.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families about care and health.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required within first year if not already held).
• At least one year of acute‑care RN experience or licensed military RN experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN).
