Capital Delivery Professional Engineer

About the role

The City of Fort Worth seeks a Professional Engineer to lead capital water improvement projects, overseeing design, construction, and contract administration for water and wastewater infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage capital water improvement projects from concept through construction.
• Interpret design requirements from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
• Provide technical leadership to engineering technicians and staff.
• Supervise, coordinate, and monitor daily activities of the Capital Delivery Section.
• Coordinate with Field Operations to resolve construction issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Four years of civil engineering experience, including two years of project management for water/wastewater projects.
• Professional Engineer registration in Texas (or ability to obtain within six months).
• Valid Texas driver’s license.

Required skills

• Civil engineering design for water and wastewater systems.
• Project management and contract administration.
• Knowledge of TCEQ regulations.
