Cafe Manager

About the role

Blank Street is seeking an experienced Cafe Manager to lead its Providence location. You will own all aspects of store operations, from team development to product quality, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Create a motivating team culture through training, coaching, and mentoring.
• Manage scheduling, timecards, and payroll compliance with labor laws.
• Recruit and develop talent in partnership with the People Team.
• Oversee inventory, vendor relations, waste management, and compliance with the inventory system.
• Spend 50‑70% of the week behind the bar delivering high‑quality coffee and food.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence through audits.
• Drive financial performance, grow average order value, and meet sales goals.

Required profile

• 4+ years managing single‑store operations in high‑growth hospitality or consumer brands.
• Experience hiring, developing, and leading hospitality teams.
• Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, espresso, and equipment.
• Ability to work 45 hours per week, including peak weekend days.

Required skills

• Specialty coffee preparation and espresso machine operation.
• Inventory management system usage.
• Supply chain ordering and vendor management.
