CAD Drafter – Utility & Telecom Design

About the role

We are seeking a CAD Drafter to develop and revise utility and telecommunications design drawings, support permit applications, and assist our engineering team. The role is based in our office and involves close collaboration with designers, engineers, and project managers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update engineering and plot drawings following company and client standards.
• Submit permit applications to regional transportation departments.
• Organize and maintain revisions of project drawings and related files.
• Execute design changes, redlines, and mark‑ups on ongoing projects.
• Research and recommend solutions to design and permitting challenges.
• Support internal change initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; college coursework or CAD certification preferred.
• At least 1 year of drafting experience.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software (training will be provided for specific tools).
