Buyer/Planner (Hybrid – Niagara Falls, NY)

About the role

Moog is seeking a motivated Buyer/Planner to join its Space and Defense Group in Niagara Falls, NY. The role blends strategic supplier development with day‑to‑day purchasing to keep program schedules on track while meeting cost, quality, and delivery goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
• Monitor supplier performance, on‑time delivery, and quality; resolve issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with shop planning, production, and engineering to support component gating and kit releases.
• Place, track, and expedite purchase orders, providing reliable delivery dates to internal stakeholders.
• Perform data‑driven analysis and trend reporting to forecast needs and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support master planning with forecasting inputs and lead‑time updates.
• Participate in cross‑functional problem‑solving initiatives and continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, or related field, OR an Associate’s degree with at least 2 years of procurement/planning experience.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and a sense of urgency.
• Ability to complete required physical testing (bloodwork and pulmonary function).
