Buyer II – Procurement and Supply Planning

About the role

The Buyer II is responsible for scheduling, procurement, and expediting of specific product lines to meet master schedules and customer orders. This role maintains inventory levels, supports production and R&D, and works closely with supply planning.

Key responsibilities

• Place purchase orders, reschedule raw material, and manage supplier relationships.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data to influence production decisions.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement procurement strategies.
• Resolve quality, pricing, and delivery issues with suppliers and coordinate with accounts payable.
• Maintain projects and critical tasks, ensuring progress despite delays.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, BOM, and supply chain planning.
• Project management, lean principles, and strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to work independently.
