Buyer – Data Center Procurement

About the role

Giga is seeking a proactive Buyer to support procurement and sourcing for its data‑center projects across the United States. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will coordinate subcontractors, purchase materials, and maintain vendor relationships to keep projects on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Support procurement schedules for data‑center construction milestones.
• Source subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors across electrical, mechanical, civil, and general construction scopes.
• Assist with RFQs/RFPs, bid comparisons, and vendor selection.
• Create and track purchase orders, subcontract documentation, and procurement logs.
• Coordinate delivery schedules, track shipments, and monitor material availability with field teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring insurance compliance and contract execution.
• Help resolve supply‑chain issues to keep projects moving.

Required profile

• Organized and detail‑oriented with strong execution focus.
• Proactive problem‑solver who enjoys coordinating multiple moving parts.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with Engineering, Construction, Logistics, and Operations teams.
• Willingness to work onsite full‑time in Houston or San Francisco.
