Business Operations Team Lead
FeverUp · Los Angeles
Job description
About the role
Fever, a tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is hiring a Business Operations Team Lead for its SSI team (Fever Originals), which builds and scales recurring live experiences such as immersive shows, concerts and theatrical formats across more than 100 cities. The Team Lead owns the operations of their region, works daily with colleagues across Growth, Marketing, Production, Operations, Finance and Legal, and interfaces with venues, local production partners, artists and casting agents. The role is based in the regional office and is hybrid (office Monday to Thursday, work from home on Fridays).
Key responsibilities
- Own the operational P&L for the region across all active IPs: revenue, costs and gross margin.
- Expand the IP portfolio into new cities, identify venues, negotiate with local partners and launch new markets while keeping quality and format standards.
- Adapt global IPs to the local market (production format, casting, logistics, programming) and drive continuous improvement in ratings and customer satisfaction.
- Grow add-on revenue streams (merchandising, upsells, F&B, brand partnerships) and support new program testing.
- Monitor operational KPIs such as occupancy rates, audience ratings, capacity launch efficiency and gross margin per show, using data tools and dashboards to close performance gaps.
- Ensure adherence to operational guidelines and collaborate with Growth on capacity planning, marketing strategy and pricing.
- Lead a team of 6 to 12 Project Managers and Producers, set goals, run 1:1s and performance reviews, and develop team members.
- Contribute to global discussions on IP strategy and expansion, and represent the region in cross-functional forums.
Required profile
- 5 to 8 years of experience in operations, general management, consulting or a fast-paced startup environment, owning P&L and driving results.
- Proven team management experience with a team of 6 to 12 people.
- Detail-oriented, process-minded and able to think strategically beyond day-to-day operations.
- Strong communicator across all levels in a global, cross-functional organization.
- Native or highly fluent English; additional languages a plus depending on the market.
Required skills
- P&L analysis and KPI monitoring
- Data tools and dashboards
- Team leadership and performance management
What we offer
- Total compensation of approximately 130,000 USD gross per year (base salary and performance bonus)
- 40% discount on all Fever events and experiences worldwide
- Health and dental insurance and Wellhub membership
- 22 days annual leave
- Hybrid working and professional growth in a fast-moving international environment
The hiring process includes a 30-minute video call, a 60-minute online test, a 30-minute interview with the future manager and a 45-60 minute business case presentation.
