Business Insurance Sales Manager

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is hiring a Business Insurance Sales Manager on its Sales team. The role is a strategic sales leader responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth, profitability and sales proficiency across the business insurance department. It leads and develops a sales team of producers with less than a $3M book of business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a sales team of producers with less than a $3M book of business.
• Champion sales best practices and coach the team toward consistent execution.
• Work in the field and hold the team accountable for attaining its goals and maintaining a healthy pipeline.

Required profile

• 8+ years of sales management or office leadership experience preferred.
• Previous experience in business insurance and/or B2B sales.
• Proven track record of building and implementing business development and client retention programs.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus, though not required.

• Marketing orientation and ability to develop marketing strategies that meet revenue goals.
• Ability to build internal and external relationships and develop long-term strategic partnerships.
• Leadership skills: sharing a vision, providing direction, building a team, collaborating, implementing change and motivating others.
• Strong client experience skills.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

• Base salary of $74,600 to $139,100, depending on experience, skills, location and other factors, plus possible performance-based incentives.
