Business Insurance Account Manager I

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is hiring a Business Insurance Account Manager I in Alpharetta, Georgia. The role supports assigned clients with their business insurance needs, working alongside producers and marketing account executives. Applicants must live within driving distance of the Alpharetta office and be able to commute at least three days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships by phone, email and in person.
• Assist clients and teammates with questions on administration, billing, claims and problem solving, upon request.
• Work with the Producer and/or Marketing Account Executive to monitor and support renewals, recommend coverage needs and present renewal documents to clients.
• Prepare marketing information and schedule and run teammate meetings, then complete the implementation process.
• Prepare and deliver all applicable forms to the client.
• Update policies that are written or renewed, log client meetings, carrier follow-up and service issues, and manage follow-ups in the client management system.
• Provide administrative support on special projects and new ideas or services as requested.
• Attend seminars, classes and carrier meetings to stay current on new products and legislative changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
• Two years of relevant insurance industry experience.
• Appropriate insurance license(s).
• Strong client relations skills, including communication, service orientation and tactfulness.
• Ability to travel occasionally, sometimes overnight.

Required skills

• Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of the client management system used to manage policies and follow-ups.
