About the role
Google is seeking a Business Data Scientist to lead measurement and analytics programs for its Marketing division. You will work across media campaigns, translating data into actionable insights that drive the incremental impact of marketing spend.
Key responsibilities
- Define measurement problems, develop metrics, and extract data to support marketing decisions.
- Design and execute causal inference studies, A/B tests, and geo experiments to assess campaign lift.
- Build and maintain automated analytics pipelines, audience segmentation, and propensity models.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders and external agencies to implement recommendations and track outcomes.
- Communicate findings and strategic recommendations to senior executives.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience applying analytics to solve product or business problems, including coding and statistical analysis.
- Experience in causal inference, A/B testing, statistical modeling, or machine learning.
- Background in marketing measurement, brand or conversion lift analysis, and digital performance incrementality.
