Biology Expert – AI Training Participant (Remote)

About the role

Prolific is seeking qualified biology and life‑science professionals to join its Expert Network. As a participant you will help train and evaluate cutting‑edge AI models by applying real scientific expertise to a variety of tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate AI‑generated responses to complex biological queries for factual accuracy and scientific consensus.
• Fact‑check technical claims and validate citations using public databases such as PubMed and NCBI.
• Assess experimental designs proposed by AI, reviewing controls, variables, and troubleshooting steps.
• Annotate and correct model‑generated biological sequences, chemical structures, or taxonomy classifications.
• Ensure AI outputs comply with bio‑ethical standards and safety guidelines.

Required profile

• BS, MS or PhD in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Bioinformatics, Pharmacology or related field.
• Several years of experience in laboratory research, clinical trials, biotech or academic instruction.
• Strong scientific literacy and critical thinking to spot “hallucinations” in AI output.
• Deep understanding of the scientific method, statistical significance and regulatory standards.
• Excellent written communication for clear technical prose.
• A PayPal account for receiving payments.
