Bioanalysis Laboratory Leader

About the role

IQVIA Laboratories in Ithaca, NY is building a pipeline of experienced scientific leaders to support its Bioanalysis teams. The role suits professionals with expertise in LC-MS/MS, bioanalytical method development, laboratory operations, instrumentation, metrology and scientific team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop high-performing scientific and technical laboratory teams
• Drive bioanalytical method development, assay development and laboratory innovation initiatives
• Provide technical leadership for LC-MS/MS and other advanced analytical technologies
• Oversee laboratory instrumentation, equipment lifecycle, qualification programs and operational readiness
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve scientific, quality and business objectives
• Champion continuous improvement, operational excellence and compliance
• Support talent development, succession planning and employee engagement

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (other equivalent education, training and experience may be accepted)
• 9 years of related experience in method or assay development, or 7 years in a laboratory environment
• Demonstrated expertise in LC-MS/MS, bioanalytical method development, laboratory operations and analytical problem solving in regulated bioanalysis
• Experience leading laboratory instrumentation, metrology, equipment qualification, calibration or maintenance programs

The potential base pay range is $92,200 to $213,900 per year, depending on qualifications, location and schedule; additional compensation may include incentives and bonuses. IQVIA is an equal opportunity employer.
