Billing Specialist (Part‑Time)

About the role

Cascade Community Healthcare is seeking a part‑time Billing Specialist to manage claim submissions, payments posting, and audit billing accuracy. The role supports the organization’s financial operations while ensuring compliance with payer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit clean claims electronically or on paper to various payers.
• Verify payer eligibility, maintain benefit summaries, and manage claim edits with the IS department.
• Post claim and contract payments, correct and resubmit denied claims.
• Monitor account status, follow up on delinquent accounts, and develop client payment plans.
• Review Sliding Fee Discount Program applications, update eligibility, and generate correspondence.
• Assist with AR aging reports and maintain billing forms within the EHR system.

Required profile

• At least one year of billing experience, preferably in mental health or behavioral health.
• Knowledge of basic medical coding and third‑party payer procedures.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet firm deadlines.
• Ability to pass Washington State background checks and represent the agency professionally.
