Bilingual WIC Outreach Coordinator

About the role

Catholic Charities of Long Island seeks a compassionate bilingual professional to lead outreach for the WIC program, fostering community partnerships and promoting nutrition assistance to underserved families.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct informational sessions, presentations, and events to promote the WIC program.
• Track outreach activities, maintain accurate participant records, and prepare impact reports.
• Provide training and workshops for community partners on referring eligible individuals to WIC.
• Develop and execute a marketing and outreach plan to build long‑term relationships with stakeholders.
• Create and manage content for social media platforms and collaborate on marketing materials.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in community outreach, public health, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Health (with nutrition credits), Communications, Marketing, or related discipline.
• Bilingual capability in Spanish.
• Experience working with underserved, low‑income families preferred.
• Familiarity with WIC program eligibility guidelines is a plus.
