Bilingual Mortgage Servicing Customer Service Representative

About the role

Leidos is seeking full-time bilingual mortgage servicing professionals for its Mortgage Customer Service team at the FHA Resource Center in Indianapolis, IN. The team supports the US Department of Housing and Urban Development's Office of Single-Family Housing, and the role expands knowledge of Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage policies and procedures. The schedule is Monday to Friday, with no weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Answer calls and emails from the mortgage servicing industry and the public on FHA guidelines and procedures.
• Use a knowledge database to find answers and acknowledge client requests.
• Follow standard operating procedures for topics, systems and contact channels.
• Document all contacts in a database and stay up to date on FHA mortgage processes.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of mortgage servicing work history (e.g., loan servicing specialist, loss mitigation specialist).
• At least 1 year of contact center or telephone customer service experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, verbal and written.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance, including a credit check and background investigation.

Required skills

• Navigate multiple computer systems and applications and use search tools to give clients information.
• Excellent time management and dependability.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including telephone etiquette.
• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
