Bilingual Mortgage Origination Customer Service Representative

About the role

Leidos is seeking full-time bilingual Mortgage Origination Customer Service Representatives for its Customer Service team supporting the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office of Single-Family Housing, at the FHA Resource Center in Indianapolis, IN. You will use your mortgage background as a Loan Processor, Loan Officer, Underwriter or similar loan origination professional to expand your knowledge of Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Answer calls and emails from the lending industry and the public on FHA guidelines and procedures.
• Use a knowledge database to find answers to client requests.
• Follow standard operating procedures for topics, systems and contact channels.
• Document all contacts in a database.
• Stay up to date on FHA mortgage processes and procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of mortgage origination experience (e.g., loan originator, loan processor, junior underwriter, loan officer).
• At least 1 year of contact center or telephone customer service experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, verbal and written.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance, including a credit check and background investigation.

Required skills

• Navigate multiple computer systems and applications and use search tools.
• Excellent time management and dependability.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including telephone etiquette.
• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
