Bilingual English/Spanish Therapist for Outpatient SUD Services

About the role

CRI‑Help is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist to join its newly opened Lincoln Heights outpatient clinic. The clinician will provide direct substance‑use‑disorder (SUD) treatment to adults and families, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver person‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct at least 20 hours per week of individual, family, or group counseling sessions.
• Develop behavioral wellness and safety plans for high‑risk clients.
• Participate in case conferences, treatment planning, and clinical discussions.
• Document client interactions accurately in electronic systems, complying with HIPAA and 42 CFR.
• Maintain client records according to state and county regulations (Title 22, Title 9, SAPC DMC Provider Manual).
• Assist clinical staff with ASAM assessments, treatment plans, and problem lists.
• Attend staff meetings, agency trainings, and required compliance sessions.

Required profile

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Current AMFT or ACSW licensure.
• Experience providing individual, family, or group counseling for SUD and co‑occurring disorders.
• Ability to create safety plans and conduct comprehensive assessments.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, 42 CFR, and California Title 22/9 requirements.
• Strong documentation skills and comfort using electronic health record systems.
