Bicycle Service Writer – Customer-Focused

About the role

Join a family of bike stores dedicated to building better cyclists and delivering memorable experiences. As the primary Service Writer you will be the bridge between customers and mechanics, ensuring smooth, organized service operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage service scheduling, intake, and workflow while communicating equipment conditions to customers.
• Write and maintain over 50% of work orders, set expectations, and oversee KPIs for a high‑quality customer experience.
• Support sales opportunities by providing informed advice, upselling service options, and collaborating with the sales team.
• Assist with inventory management, large accessory installations, and keep the shop floor organized.

Required profile

• Passion for bicycles and a friendly, team‑oriented attitude.
• Two+ years of bike mechanic experience with strong product knowledge.
• Proven retail sales or customer‑service background, reliability, and ability to work fast‑paced environments.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Experience using Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive).
• Technical knowledge of bicycles, components, accessories, and bike fitting.
