About the role
The Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs is hiring a full-time Bell Person in its Operations/Bellstand department. The role covers guest interaction, luggage handling, room service and clerical duties, with a 40-hour week and availability for nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
Key responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, load and unload luggage from the bell cart and accompany guests to their rooms
- Explain hotel amenities to guests
- Answer the bellstand telephone and make room deliveries when needed
- Arrange guest transportation and maintain room key control
- Shoe shine and handle shoe pickup and delivery
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D.; prior hotel experience preferred
- Able to speak plainly and clearly over the phone and with guests
- Must learn the hotel layout and location of all amenities
- Drivers license required
- Availability nights, weekends and holidays, including overtime; subject to winter lay-off
Physical requirements
- Standing, walking, climbing, bending and reaching frequently during an 8-hour shift
- Lifting up to 20 pounds horizontally
