Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist – Intensive Outpatient Program

About the role

The Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist will provide psychotherapy, counseling, and comprehensive assessments to patients ranging from children to adults in the Intensive Outpatient Program at Marymount Hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver individual, group, family, and crisis counseling across a spectrum of mental health conditions.
• Conduct diagnostic interviews, assessments, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Serve as liaison between patients, families, community support workers, and facilities to facilitate discharge planning.
• Supervise and train lower‑level social workers, students, or interns.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic medical record and participate in continuing education.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field and appropriate licensure (LISW, LPCC, LPC, or LSW).
• At least three years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Clean record with no substantiated ethics or patient abuse reports.
• Ability to document clinical findings concisely in an EMR and communicate across electronic platforms.
