Banquet House Attendant (Part Time)

About the role

Loews Chicago O'Hare, situated between downtown Chicago and O'Hare International Airport, is hiring a part-time Banquet House Attendant. The role works behind the scenes to set up and maintain banquet spaces for weddings, corporate galas, meetings and social functions, collaborating with banquet leaders and event teams. Key responsibilities

• Execute room setups and breakdowns according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), including tables, chairs, staging and décor.
• Ensure furniture and equipment are placed accurately and safely for events such as weddings, meetings and social functions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in banquet and storage areas.
• Inspect event spaces regularly before, during and after functions.
• Assist with light maintenance of banquet equipment and report issues to leadership.
• Respond to guest and team requests, including last-minute layout changes.
• Monitor and restock banquet supplies such as linens, tables and chairs, and communicate inventory needs to leadership.
• Collaborate with banquet captains, servers and other departments such as kitchen, AV and housekeeping.
• Uphold safety standards and attend mandatory training sessions and meetings; other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• One year of experience in a mid-to-high-volume banquet or restaurant within an upscale hotel or restaurant preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, bend and lift or move 100+ pounds repeatedly, and to move portable furniture and equipment.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Detail-oriented, team-oriented and adaptable problem solver who stays calm under pressure.
