Backend Engineer

About the role

Method Security is looking for a Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale the core systems behind its autonomous cybersecurity products. You will work in a high‑performing team to create reliable, low‑latency distributed services that protect critical institutions from AI‑driven threats.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable distributed systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and latency.
• Diagnose, triage, and resolve issues in a microservices environment to improve system stability.
• Design clean, secure APIs and efficient database schemas that support product features and data handling.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Engage with end users to ensure the platform meets operational needs and solves real‑world problems.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and scaling distributed systems with high‑performance and low‑latency requirements.
• Strong ability to debug and troubleshoot complex microservice architectures.
• Experience designing backend APIs and crafting efficient database schemas.
• Proficiency in a strongly typed language, preferably Java.
