AVP - Strategy Collection Manager

About the role

Barclays is hiring an Assistant Vice President, Strategy Collection Manager, in Wilmington, Delaware, within its Data & Analytics business area. The role supports Payment Program and Settlement strategy optimisation and digital collections analytics, with an emphasis on settlement strategies. It is an end-to-end strategy owner role covering deep-dive analysis of settlement performance trends, analytical testing, and monitoring the financial impact of implemented changes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, collect and extract data from internal and external sources, and clean, wrangle and transform it so it is fit for analysis
• Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines for automated data acquisition and processing
• Design and run statistical and machine learning models to analyse patterns, trends and relationships in the data
• Build predictive models to forecast outcomes and identify risks and opportunities
• Work with business stakeholders to turn data into value through data science
• Advise on decisions, contribute to policy development and lead a team delivering complex work that affects the whole business function
• Set objectives, coach employees, appraise performance and determine reward outcomes
• Manage risk, strengthen controls and develop new policies and procedures
• Communicate complex information and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes

Required profile

• Expertise in strategy development, testing and performance optimisation
• Experience managing cross-functional projects with technology and operations teams
• Ability to analyse complex datasets and turn insights into actionable strategies
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Bank, cards or related financial services experience is highly valued
• Legal right to work in the UK; sponsorship may be needed

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL, Python or other data analysis tools
• Familiarity with digital collections platforms and tools
