AV & Technology Lead (OluKai, melin, Roark & TWS)

About the role

Tradewind Services, the shared services platform behind Archipelago Companies' lifestyle brands OluKai, melin and Roark, is hiring an on-site AV & Technology Lead for its new Newport HQ. The role runs technology day-to-day in a high-spec, AI-driven building and reports to the Senior Director of IT. It is full-time, five days a week, and requires on-site presence.

Key responsibilities

• Keep every meeting room, boardroom and training space ready for Zoom or Teams calls, checking rooms proactively before the day starts and before high-profile meetings
• Operate, monitor and troubleshoot room systems: displays, cameras, microphones, DSPs, speakers, wireless presentation and room scheduling panels
• Be on the floor for executive meetings, board sessions and client events, and work with the AV integrator and vendors on support calls, warranty claims and changes
• Support the phone-controlled environment (Crestron control, lighting, sound) and help users set up mobile apps and controls
• Keep systems updated (firmware, software, OS, patches, security), run a recurring test and maintenance schedule, keep spare parts and document room and system status
• Track licenses, warranties and support contracts, and manage tickets and escalations
• Provide general IT support: hardware, software, accounts, access, printing, network, Wi-Fi and onboarding/offboarding of new hires
• Maintain room guides, system diagrams, quick-start sheets and a runbook, and recommend improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
• 3 to 5 years in IT support, AV support or a similar hands-on role in a corporate or commercial setting
• Real experience with conference room technology (Zoom Rooms and/or Microsoft Teams Rooms, cameras, DSPs, displays)
• Calm under pressure, clear communication with non-technical users and executives, and ability to handle confidential information
• Willingness to work on site, lift up to 40 lbs and respond after hours, including occasional evening and weekend coverage

Required skills

• Microsoft 365, Entra ID or Active Directory, Intune or another MDM, Windows and macOS troubleshooting
• Networking basics: Wi-Fi, VLANs, DHCP and DNS
• Preferred: hands-on Crestron support (certification such as DMC-D or CTI is a strong plus), Lutron, Control4, Q-SYS, Biamp, Extron, smart building and AI-enabled tools
• Certifications such as CTS (AVIXA), CompTIA A+ or Network+, or Microsoft 365 fundamentals are a plus
