Senior Enterprise Applications Developer

About the role

Beta Bionics is seeking a senior hands‑on technical leader to design, build, and maintain enterprise applications, integrations, data pipelines and intelligent automation that support core business functions. Reporting to the Sr. Director, IT, you will partner with architects, security, infrastructure and business stakeholders to translate needs into secure, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define practical architectures, integration patterns and development standards in partnership with enterprise and solution architects.
• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain Python‑based applications, APIs, micro‑services, serverless and event‑driven solutions supporting Commercial, Operations, Finance, Quality and Customer Support.
• Build and maintain REST APIs, middleware, ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud‑native services (preferably AWS) with robust monitoring, error handling and auditability.
• Identify and implement workflow automation, intelligent document processing and AI‑enabled solutions to streamline high‑value processes.
• Lead technical discovery, proof‑of‑concepts, code reviews and mentor other developers without adding a separate management layer.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of progressive experience designing and delivering enterprise software, integrations, data solutions or automation in complex, regulated environments.
• Proven ability to lead solution design from requirements through production support and to communicate technical decisions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• Strong working knowledge of at least one modern language/framework such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Java or C#/.NET.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, micro‑services and event‑driven architectures.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud‑native development and managed services in AWS (or Azure/GCP).
• SQL expertise and experience building ETL/ELT pipelines on relational or modern data platforms.
• Familiarity with automation tools, AI/ML workflows and intelligent document processing.
• Understanding of security, privacy, HIPAA, SOC 2, SOX and other regulatory compliance requirements.
