Autism Classroom Behavior Technician I & II

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Children’s Center for Autism is seeking multiple Autism Classroom Behavior Technicians (Level I and II) to support students aged 2‑22 in a full‑year, center‑based ABA program. Technicians work weekdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, providing direct classroom support and data‑driven instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and maintain behavior data; implement prompting hierarchies, differential reinforcement, and functional communication teaching.
• Deliver discrete trial teaching, naturalistic instruction, shaping, chaining, and group reinforcement across varied student skill levels.
• Prepare and adapt lesson materials, create monthly progress summaries, and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Mentor new staff, develop graphs for parent communication, attend home visits, and assist with student transitions.

Required profile

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or High School diploma/GED with two years relevant experience (including six months for Level II).
• Educational Aide Permit (EAP) pending before start date or Ohio Teaching License.
• Completion of Professional Crisis Management (PCM) training within six months and annual recertification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire.
