Auditor Supervisor – Post-Contract Audit

About the role

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is looking for an experienced Auditor Supervisor to lead the Post‑Contract Audit function within the Audit and Quality Control Section. This senior‑level position ensures that post‑contract audits of professional services, consultant contracts, utilities, railroad agreements, and related funding requests are performed accurately, on schedule, and in compliance with federal and state regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise lower‑level audit staff, assign work, and review audit reports and workpapers.
• Conduct audits and internal reviews requested by management, program administrators, FHWA, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain audit workflow, permanent files, and assist with electronic archiving of departmental records.
• Provide technical guidance on audit standards, contract provisions, and applicable laws.
• Evaluate findings, prepare audit documentation, and communicate results to internal and external parties.

Required profile

• Six years of experience in accounting or auditing, or equivalent education plus experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead audit teams and manage complex audit projects.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state audit regulations, contract compliance, and financial analysis.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
