Audit Director – Senior Leadership Role in Louisiana

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Audit Director to join our Louisiana office as a senior leader. This high‑visibility position will drive technical excellence, manage a significant client portfolio, and help shape the future of our audit practice.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical authority on complex audit, attest, and accounting matters across GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB frameworks.
• Own and grow a substantial book of business, acting as a trusted advisor to executives, boards, and audit committees.
• Set quality standards, oversee risk management, and ensure firm‑wide regulatory compliance.
• Lead, mentor, and retain a multi‑tiered team of managers, seniors, and associates.
• Drive practice growth through business development, new client acquisition, and referral network expansion.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic planning, service line development, and market positioning.
• Oversee complex technical accounting issues such as business combinations, impairments, and variable interest entities.
• Lead recruiting, training, and staff development initiatives.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive audit experience in public accounting, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Active CPA license.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and inspire teams.
• Executive‑level presence with strong client relationship skills.
