Associate Vice President, Digital Focused

About the role

Precision‑Strategies is seeking an Associate Vice President to lead digital‑focused communications for its Strategic Communications team in New York, NY or Washington, DC. The role blends client management, content development, digital strategy and cross‑functional collaboration to drive impactful campaigns for nonprofits, advocacy groups, media start‑ups and industry leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day client relationships across multiple accounts, managing timelines, deliverables and issue resolution.
• Develop and execute content strategies, messaging hierarchies and integrated plans that drive engagement and meet performance goals.
• Create platform‑specific digital strategies (email, social, web) and run content production processes.
• Lead cross‑functional teams—including communications, data, creative and paid media—to deliver cohesive, high‑impact work.
• Drive digital reporting that provides strategic insights and supports client growth.

Required profile

• 8+ years in communications (in‑house, government, consultancy) managing strategic programs and sensitive issues.
• Strong media relationships and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative, energetic, detail‑oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Proven ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously and mentor junior staff.
