Associate Vice President - Commercial Entertainment Insurance

About the role

Marsh Agency, part of Marsh McLennan, is hiring an Associate Vice President for its Commercial Entertainment team. The role is the main point of contact between the insurer and clients (business managers and high net worth individuals), providing daily guidance and oversight of a team of support staff who process transactions for an assigned book of business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality service to customers, sell new lines of coverage and cross-sell within the existing book of business.
• Manage a team and act as the main liaison between the insurance company and its clients.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of work output and workflows, ensure company policies and standard operating procedures are followed, and develop and track annual business goals to increase sales and retain book value.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in the field, with continuous learning about new products and services.
• An insurance designation or related classes, or at least 15-20 years of work experience in insurance.
• Current California Department of Insurance license (a plus).
• College degree preferred (high school diploma required).
• 15+ years of experience (a plus).

Required skills

• Strong written and verbal communication and follow-up skills.
• Problem-solving, sound judgment, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is a plus.
