Account Executive - Commercial Insurance

About the role

Momentous Insurance, a Marsh McLennan Agency, is hiring an Account Executive for its Commercial Entertainment team in Van Nuys. The Account Executive acts as the day-to-day liaison between the insurance company (MIB) and designated accounts, managing client relationships and selling new lines of coverage while cross-selling within the existing book of business.

Key responsibilities

• Daily customer service: coverage issues, contract and exposure analysis, endorsements, routine coverage questions, problem solving, renewal control, proposal preparation and policy checking and binding
• Inform the producer on strategic account issues, claims and other potential problems
• Oversee renewals, account management and new business development, and ensure Standard Operating Guidelines are followed for all transactions
• Design or help design insurance plans for clients and assist with coverage changes
• Hold face-to-face meetings to present summary reports and maintain client relationships
• Educate clients on coverage, exclusions, exposures and gaps, and monitor client satisfaction at least quarterly

Required profile

• Experience in all areas of Commercial Entertainment insurance
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships and communicate consistently and accurately
• Resolve client inquiries within 24 hours and assist with service or claims issues
• Plus: current California Department of Insurance license, 3-7 years of experience, college degree preferred (high school diploma required)

Required skills

• Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to use a computer keyboard and office equipment such as fax and copy machines

• Base salary of $56,400 to $120,500, depending on experience, skills, training, location, certifications and education
