Account Manager - Personal Lines Insurance

About the role

Momentous Insurance, a Marsh McLennan Agency, is hiring a full-time Account Manager for its Personal Lines team. The Account Manager is the day-to-day liaison between the insurance company (MIB) and the accounts managed by Account Executives, Senior Account Executives and Producers, providing high-quality customer service and cross-selling within the existing book of business.

Key responsibilities

• Daily customer service: coverage issues, contract and exposure analysis, auto ID cards, endorsements, routine coverage questions, problem solving, renewal control, formal proposals, policy checks and binding.
• Coordinate with Account Executives on strategic account issues and potential problems.
• Quote new business and renewals, prepare and follow up on proposals and applications, and provide a Summary of Insurance to each client.
• Remarket accounts as directed and maintain accurate EPIC files.
• Handle cancellations timely and check policies against the SOG checklist (letters, invoices, certificates, binders, etc.).

Required profile

• Experience in all areas of Personal Lines insurance.
• Knowledge of underwriting and rating procedures for personal lines policies.
• Ability to quote new business and renewals, prepare proposals and applications, and handle cancellations.
• Plus: current California Department of Insurance license, 1-2 years of experience, college degree preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Agency management system such as EPIC or AMS 360, or another paperless insurance system.
• Use of carrier websites, communications, new coverage options and billing procedures.
