Senior Account Executive - Commercial Lines Insurance

About the role

Momentous Insurance, a Marsh McLennan agency, is hiring a full-time Senior Account Executive for its Commercial Lines team. The role acts as the day-to-day liaison between the insurance company (MIB) and designated accounts, managing client relationships and providing high-quality service while selling new lines of coverage and cross-selling within the existing book of business.

Key responsibilities

• Daily customer service: coverage issues, contract and exposure analysis, endorsements, routine coverage questions, problem solving, renewal control, proposal preparation and policy checking and binding
• Oversee renewals, account management and new business development, and ensure Standard Operating Guidelines are followed for all transactions
• Inform the producer on strategic account issues, claims and other potential problems
• Build and maintain client relationships, respond to inquiries within 24 hours and turn each contact into a marketing opportunity
• Design insurance plans for clients, present summaries and reports, and explain coverage, exclusions and exposures
• Monitor and review client satisfaction at least quarterly and report findings to the account producer

Required profile

• Experience in all areas of Commercial Lines insurance
• Preferred: college degree (high school diploma required); current California Department of Insurance license; 5-10 years of experience
• Ability to use a computer keyboard and sit for long periods in an office environment

Required skills

• Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Base salary of $84,700 to $180,800, depending on experience, skills, location and education, plus possible performance-based incentives
